Do you have a constant feeling that you’re not good enough, not productive enough, not interesting enough? And, how do you overcome this feeling? You could work excessive hours, engage in high risk behaviours or dedicate all your time, money and energy to being ‘good enough’? Only, you’re still left with the same feeling. Worse still, you’re left with an even worse feeling! Why? Because now, you’ve tried even harder to be ‘enough’ and you still don’t feel that way!

Where do you go from here?

It’s OK, you can distract yourself through social media, online shopping, gaming, texting, exercising, eating, sleeping or simply taking something. That should cover it, right? And by the time you’ve exhausted all those options, it will probably be time get back to the compulsive behaviours anyway. That’s life I guess, that’s the way it’s always been.

But, what if you are good enough? What if you’ve always been good enough, just the way you are? What if all the above does nothing but convince you otherwise? You’ve invested so much time and energy in these negative cycles that you’ve done a great job of convincing yourself you need to do more, be more, try more, work more and have more.
